DJ turn it up up up up up

Photobucket

As you may have noticed, I have ventured into the DJ industry. It's actually not a new avenue for me, because my dad has been DJing for so many years. And most of the time, I was always by his side. After he decided to retire last year, he handed the business over to me. Well, really, I had no choice. He was already sending DJ requests my way for this year as early as last winter! And he pretty much told me I'd be taking over when he was done. Hey, what's another job added to my list of 15 other jobs, right??

I am honored to be able to fill his shoes and can only hope I do as well as he did. I must say, so far so good. But I owe a lot of that to my friend and DJ partner, DJ MIA (in the picture above). Mia and I have been friends since....oh heck, I don't even know. Probably about 14 years now. She started DJing about three years ago and is just breaking into the club scenes with her DJ skills. She's also done weddings and other special events. Look out for her!

Most people are shocked to see female DJ's because, lets face it, it's overall a male-dominant industry. But, someone had to change it up a bit! So don't let our gender fool you!

In the pic above, I grabbed a quick shot of her at the Winter Homecoming Dance at Niles High School (we're both former Vikings, by the way!!) We've also done events such as Bowl For A Cure, wedding receptions and pretty much any event where music is needed. Mis is also a regular at Jay's Lounge in Niles.

The DJ website page will be up soon. In the meantime, shoot me an email if you have any questions.
